Adrenaline is a music player that incorporates a complelety different approach of organizing your music collection. While in common players your collection is based on the metadata that you or others have assigned to the track, Adrenaline generates the Fingerprint of each track and automatically assigns the metadata found in the Musicbrainz database. You don't have to care about assiging the metadata at all if it is provided by MusicBrainz or you can do your share and enter the metadata of unknown tracks to make it available to the community. Your collection will stay up to date as new data arrives.

It does also feature full Last.fm integration, so you can seamlessly listen to their radio streams, retrieve similar artists, check out the tags and biographies. Cover art is also integrated automatically and lyrics are fetched on demand.

Adrenaline provides a plug-in system. This an be used to extend the base functionality as desired.

Adrenaline is not available to the public yet, as it is still in testing. Check back to see if this has changed. This is a private project and I can't promise any release date yet. If it is released it is definitely going to be open-sourced.
